Long-distance move from Basalt, CO to San Diego, CA

Great.

When I first spoke to accurate express movers I knew right away they were the company I wanted for my move. Their experience in this industry and the knowledge I have gained from just working with them was incredible. The staff is full of friendly people who won nothing more than to make your life easier save you money as they feel their trucks. If you’re flexible with your day and evening slightest bit you can find yourself saving even more money which in our case it is what happened. Long-distance move from Massachusetts to Colorado

Long Distance move.

Run,run, run..Nothing about this important move went well. If you do use them get expensive insurance! Leather recliner, couch fabrics ripped, many glass items showed up smashed And the one bed I brought showed up with grease marks on them and wet. Crews have specific jobs and once their job is done they don't help others. One man packed while others slept in truck. I helped the one man pack until 3 in the morning. Delivery was a week late as they couldn't find anyone to ship my things with from New Jersey. The whole thing was a nightmare..don't do it!

Accurate movers did the job perfectly.

Due to job change I was moving from Voorhees, NJ to Miami, FL, I went to few websites and asked for quote and was sent quote and contacted by many people for very less amount, but when I see their reviews I became cautious since those are not movers, they are brokers. A day after that I got a call from Accurate movers (Travis) and he explained me how this industry (mostly broker) works and showed me how many vehicles accurate movers have (from USDOT website) and educate me on selecting moving company.    1. They will not give cheap price and rise it while delivering (but a nominal charge comparing to big companies) 2. They will not charge you extra either (unless long carry or shuttle services) 3. I think they serve eastern part fully and turnaround time (my experience) is just 3 days from pickup to delivery from NJ to Miami   also they are very much reachable during move process and even after move process, even you can call the owner (Joe) if you have any issues, It is one wornderful experince for me with them.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to North Carolina

Worst moving experience ever!

Outrageous!  The other reviews are clearly fraudulent.  Their website promises teams that are "experienced, fully equipped and highly professional," and they boast on the phone that they have a fleet of dozens of trucks and full-time moving professionals.  What they give you are sub-contractors who haven't the slightest idea of how the procedures are supposed to work, and their "fleet of trucks" is rented daily from U-Haul. My parents contracted them to move from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.  First, they demanded that all payment be made in cash.  They explained on the phone that they'd have trouble with people trying to cheat them by declining credit cards or cancelling checks -- we sure found out why!  We gave them a broad window in which to deliver, "any day but the 18th,." as my father had a surgery scheduled that day.  Sure enough, they called the day before and said, "we're delivering on the 18th."  When we complained, they said, "We could deliver the next day, but it will cost you extra."   When they finally arrived on the 18th, almost every piece of furniture was damaged in some way, from scratches to huge pieces torn out.  My mother watched in horror as they dragged her oak bureau out and turned it on its face so that every drawer fell out and crashed to the concrete.  When she ran forward one of them shouted, "Stay back, Missy, or you'll get hurt."  After they were finished, rather than checking off each box on the list, they just drew a line through all of them and demanded that my other sign it. My mother was 80 years old and could not take them yelling and threatening her, so she signed it.  We found out later that they had numbered a dozen small boxes separately and then packed them all into a single big numbered box..and charged her moving and storage for all of the numbered boxes individually.  These people are crooks.  They will lie through their teeth to get your business, and then once they have your belongings, they're through being nice, and once they have their payment, they'll leave, even if there's still a pile of boxes standing outside.

Long-distance move from Rhode Island to Virginia

AKA Countrywide Relocation.

My move had a number of problems.  From what I could tell, nearly all fo them are from one person.  Everything else was 4-5 star performance.  However, this one person gave me such a headache and caused so many problems, I'm only giving 2 stars (saved purely by the other people).
The primary problem was someone named Leo.  My salesperson was quite proud that Accurate Movers is their own company.  And if I used Accurate Movers, I'd get them and not some other company.
However, Leo apparently works for two (or more) moving companies.  His "sister company" is Countrywide Relocation, LLC.  On the phone, he's actually Countrywide Relocation.  Some of the paperwork was even labeled from Countrywide Relocation.  Based on some of the poor reviews and scam reports with Countrywide Relocation, I wished I had known of the connection beforehand.
Another issue is the Leo would not honor what was promised me.  I was told I could set an earliest delivery date for free, which was nice since I wasn't going to leave until a few days after the pick up (there were only two days in their schedule when they could do pick up before I leave).  Leo then tells me I had to pay a $250 fee for that.  Travis said he tried to make it free, but Leo refused.  I guess Leo overruled him somehow?  Either way, I consider this false advertising.  They promised me something was free and then said they will charge me a $250 fee for it.  I had to make special arrangements on my side to avoid this charge.
Another issue is that it was nearly impossible to get in touch with Leo.  It would sometimes take Travis a day to reach Leo.  It got to the point where we had to contact Leo's partner (I can't remember his name).  And even he couldn't reach Leo.  To my knowledge, his partner was not able to reach Leo over two days of trying.  I had to call him myself multiple times to finally get him.  I remember making at least 20 calls to Travis, Leo, or his partner, just to try and reach Leo.
Another problem was scheduling.  Leo was incredibly bad at keeping me informed when was my pick-up and my delivery, even after he had scheduled it.  On my first call, he asked if 8 am pick-up was okay.  I said yes.  The $250 fee came up during that call.  I called Travis to check the free part and see what went wrong.  Somehow because of that, Leo said I didn't officially confirm the pick-up date.  So he had scheduled someone else during that time.  When I finally managed to reach him a second time, I was told 3-4 pm the next day.  Then it became 5-6, after that I got the driver's phone and was given better updates.
Another problem is that Leo wasn't informed of all the information.  I'm not sure if this is a problem with Leo or failure of Accurate Moving Services to communicate it to Leo.  Due to the $250 fee, they suggested I make arrangements to have someone at the destination so they could deliver it when I wasn't there.  This way I won't be charged $250.  So I did that.  However, the best I could do is make sure somebody was there after 1:30 pm.  I made it perfectly clear to them that they will not be able to deliver before 1:30 pm.
When Leo called me for delivery (and not the person I told them for delivery since I wasn't going to be there), he told me they will be there around 10 am.  I told him about the 1:30 requirement.  His reply was that 10 would work better for him and 1:30 would be an inconvenience for him.  He suggested the person I have at the destination should just take a break from work to be there for a 10am delivery.  Personally, I found this to be incredibly rude, especially since I had to make special arrangements for them in the first place.
I told Leo that 10 am was completely not doable.  If he wanted a 10 am delivery, he has to wait for me to get there or it has to be after 1:30.  He said he would take another look at the schedule and he would call me back.  He never did.  I only knew of the delivery because the driver called me the day after I arrived and said he would be there at in an hour.  He arrived around 11am.
The actual pick-up and delivery went smoothly.  There were only 3 people on pick-up (one of them being a trainee) and only 2 for delivery.  They were quite friendly and very efficient, even the trainee.  An issue was that Leo had charged me the $250 fee anyways.  I told the workers that I didn't want it and for them to deliver my things "straight through".
Several boxes were badly damaged and a few things were broken (luckily they were cheap and replaceable) and some things were damaged.  I haven't finished unboxing everything though.
Something else to note, I made them charge me by weight and I was supposed to be given the weight report on delivery.  However, they didn't provide that.  They went by the estimate, which is fine for me.  I was definitely under the minimum weight (something I wish I had asked before signing with them) and wanted to know how much under.  Also the $250 fee appeared again.  The driver had to call their office to make sure it shouldn't be included.
To be clear, I did not have to pay the $250 fee for something that was free and I didn't get.  Still it was added to my estimate and bill without me agreeing to it and after I told them to remove it.
Lastly, delivery date fluxuated a lot.  Delivering my things "straight through" was 1-3 days, then 3-4 days, then unknown.  In the end, it was around 7 days.
I believe if they have someone more capable to replace Leo, they would have 4 performance.  Just make sure you read the reviews for Countrywide Relocation too if you're thinking of using this company.  They seem to share a lot of the same people.

Local move within New York

Not honest.

The biggest selling point for "Accurate Movers" was that they owned their own trucks, that I wouldn't be dealing with a third party, etc.  When the truck arrived, it was countrywide relocation, not accurate movers.   I repeatedly stated to the salesman I had approximately 4,000lbs of household goods to be moved, the contract stated 571cf (3997lbs) - the guys who showed up told me it was by cubic feet only, that they had not been told to weigh. I told them to load to the cf limit on my contract and we'd see what was left.  For the two thousand dollar plus price tag, they moved only 76 boxes, most of those weighing very little. To have them move the rest was at a ridiculous price of $3.45 a cubic foot - regardless of weight.  Yep, I feel stupid.  For the price they charged for this partial move, I could have rented a uhaul one way, and fully loaded it.    .

Best Move.

My husband and I are very happy and satisfied with our movers and our moving service. With Accurate Moving and their movers we managed to relocate from Cleveland to Boston within 4 days. It was nothing but fantastic. They were professional, reliable and we made good friends with them. Definitely, this was the best moving so far. Accurate Moving Services was the very best choice that I could make and will be calling them my moving company from now on. .

Long-distance move from Rhode Island to Oregon

Disconnect between Words and actions.

Beware of dishonest practices of these movers. In order to get the job they will promise anything. After considering numerous quotes, I signed up with Accurate Movers for my cross country move from Rhode Island to Oregon this February 2015. Before paying them the deposit, I clarified with their sales person Frank that I am moving to a downtown location and only a 26' to 27' truck could park. He promised that it will be a 27' truck and there would be no extra charges. I told him that they would need to use an elevator for which there was a $75 charge and had him include that in the quote. I once again reiterated on the truck size as other movers had quoted based on this downtown location. Frank was confident that his price is good. The only extra I needed to pay was if my volume increased, which did and I compensated the extra $s. On reaching Portland, Frank is nowhere, the truckers disown him and refuse to unload the truck unless I pay the an extra $400 for the small truck they had to use for coming downtown. I am totally shocked and had a terrible experience, would not recommend them.

Long-distance move from New York to Texas

Dishonest, borderline extortion, illegal practices.

I selected Accurate Moving Services based on the estimated price, and the salesman's assurances that they were an independent company that handles all aspects of the job, and does not subcontract like many other moving companies. The salesman took extensive time with me to perform a room by room inventory to create the estimate, sent me links to USDOT so I could see their service record, pointed out the number of trucks, drivers, and miles they had logged. This was to ensure to me that I would be dealing with Accurate Moving Services 100% of the time.
So, I chose them. Once I signed the estimate and gave them my business, I was asked for a date range for pickup, and would be notified by the dispatcher when the truck would be coming. This notification never happened. I had to call the salesman several times to coordinate the pick up, each time he assured me that the dispatcher would call me that evening. He was surprised to hear each time when I told him that I received no calls.
Additionally, I wanted to specify which date for pickup. But I was not allowed to do that. I was able to specify a preferred day, however, they gave a date range of when they would be there. Apparently, despite committing to paying over $5000 to this company, the customer is at the discretion of the company as to when the service is going to be rendered!
When the truck finally arrived to pick up my stuff, on the last day of the date range.. not my preferred day of course, it did not have Accurate Moving Services on it. It had 2 different names, addresses and USDOT numbers, clearly indicating that it was subcontracted for the job. Again, in direct opposition of what the salesman went out of his way to assure me.
The paperwork that the foreman had was also incorrect, stating a different charge per cubic foot, and a total that was nearly $300 more than the estimate I received and agreed to. We disputed this, and he called the office, so this was resolved rather quickly. The estimate was for 1400 cubic feet. I later found out that providing an estimate based on cubic feet rather than weight is ILLEGAL! This explains why every other estimate from the national chains (like United and Mayflower) only had a weight estimate, not cubic feet. The foreman stated that his truck was 2700 cubic feet, and my estimate would fill just over 1/2 of the truck, packed from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. He stated that looking at my stuff this shouldn't be a problem. Later, as the guys started to fill the truck, he said that I might exceed, that I would be charged $4/additional cubic foot, and maybe I wanted to consider leaving some stuff behind. As the day went on, it was clear that I was going to significantly exceed 1400, and I wanted assurance regarding the size of the truck, because much of my research indicated to me that there was no way the truck was 2700 cubic feet.
I called the salesman several times to get the dimensions of the truck that was dispatched to my home. He said he would have a manager call me. No one did. Finally, on the 4th call to him, he connected me to the owner. I could not understand the owner's name through what I believe to be his thick Russian accent, but he said they had no idea how big the truck was, and the foreman should know. But if I had doubts, I should measure it. So I did. Come to find out, the truck was only about 2100 cubic feet. The foreman's response to this was that it wasn't his usual truck, and he just assumed it was the same size.
Regardless of the size of the truck, the estimate was grossly inaccurate. I decided that I would not be able to incure much more of the additional fees, so I started selecting items to leave behind. Like dressers, all of my dining room chairs, a full bedroom set, lawnmower, etc. Despite this, once the truck was packed and remaining space measured, I was nearly 400 cubic feet over the estimate (would have been double that if I did not question the size of the truck!). So, I incurred nearly $1400 additional charges which of course now that everything was loaded onto the truck I would have to pay before the would deliver and unload it (can you say extortion?), AND I had to leave behind a lot of stuff, which I then had to figure out a way to deal with!!
The bottom line is: This company is a scam! Dishonest, illegal practices, unprofessional (did not call when they said they would, foreman was unaware of the actual size of the truck, would have over charged me even more because of that). They made an already stressful event in life exponentially worse! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.
